Arpita plays live Tamboura, Swarmandel, and Tibetan bowls. With this music along with intoning and everyone’s presence, the sounds we create together become a container for silence.
This meditation was developed by Arpita over years of playing percussion and Indian instruments in meditations and groups with other meditators. The art of making music to help the process of becoming silent is ancient. It is still effective today, as music resonates within us in a way that helps the mind become silent, rather than engaging it. Jamie accompanies Arpita often on guitar.
